Feather padded off once the meeting had come to a close, her pawsteps soon turning into long strides. Usually she found the meetings interesting, but this last one had disturbed her precious playtime, so she was glad it had come to an end rather quickly.
Feather soon found herself in Goldenrod Fields. Taking a moment to glance around, she seemed to be alone. She sighed, hoping there would be someone to fight over a stick with. 'Party for one, I guess...' She shook out her pelt before darting off through the fields, grinning as the wind ran through her fur. 'Maybe someone will join me later.' Feather was lost in thought until something caught her eye. Never being one to slow down before attempting to stop, she came skidding to a halt, attempting to focus her gaze on what she had seen. It appeared to be a lone coyote, but it had already noticed her because of her lack of stealth. The coyote ran off, and idea of chasing it sounded like lots of fun, so she immediately took off after it.

Rain made his way to Goldenrod fields after the meeting. The sunlight was perfect here. Warm and bright. Great spot for herbs to grow. The young Shaman trotted through a brush into a large open space. In the distance he found Feather chasing a coyote. She appeared to be having a lot of fun. The coyote not so much. A small smile formed on his face.
A normal wolf would have gone and said hello. Rain was shy, and quite awkward. Instead he watched from a distance.

Feather continued to chase the coyote, nipping at the end of its tail occasionally in an attempt to get it to speed up. She then noticed a figure in the distance, and it appeared to be a wolf. She herded the coyote in their direction, and as soon as she confirmed they were part of the tribe, she called out to them. "Come join me, it's fun!" She barely had time to speak before she had already dashed right past the wolf, but hoped they had heard her and would like to join.

The black brute tilted his head at Feather. She seemed very strange. Rain was a busybody. He never really tried to have fun. There was always too much work to do. Rain shrugged. Why not.
He dashed after her and the coyote. His charcoal legs drumming against the ground. They were fast. It made a good workout. Rain grinned as admittedly this was pretty fun. "Whoever catches it wins." he challenged the female, finally catching up to her.

After the meeting was finally over Echo decided to relax in the Goldenrod Fields, maybe to just lay in the flowers or perhaps going on a jog. She sensed two other wolves from the tribe, and recognized them as Feather and Rain. She watched the grey she-wolf chase a coyote for a while, calling to the young shaman. Echo sneaked towards them through the flowers, waiting for the coyote to get closer. When it dashed in front of her, she joined into the chase, gracefully running with her tail up-high and eyes locked on the canine.

"Whoever catches it wins." Feather nodded at the challenge. "You're on!" She was confident she could win this, considering running fast was part of her everyday life. She ran as fast as she could, attempting to grab the coyote's tail. She tried to catch it with one final leap, but she just missed it. 'No! I almost had it... Wait, is that Echo?' She quickly got back to her paws and darted after it again at full pelt, knowing she'd not only have some catching up to do, but also another wolf to compete with.

Rain picked up the pace as the challenge was on. He was no hunter, but he was determined to win. Feather had gotten so incredibly close, but missed. What luck. The black male tried to get closer. This was his chance. He doubted Feather would miss a second time. Rain was so close and was ready to snap his jaws at that fluffy tail.
The male became distracted as he realized another wolf had joined them. Another competitor? "I'm not making this easy for you!" He called playfully at Feather and Echo. Rain barked at the coyote in order to make it run faster.

Feather was starting to catch up a little already. However, she knew if she wanted to make it all the way to the coyote in time, she'd have to take action. "Hey, Rain, watch your step! You might trip over a burrow and hurt yourself!" She hoped that would be enough to slow him down so she could catch up some more, considering he's a shaman and probably had a thing for safety.

"Alright. Let's do it your way." she spoke gazing at Rain and sped up, kicking up lots of dust and petals from the field. Echo began running off to the side, faster and faster. She joined the coyote's side before loudly barking at it. The coyote yelped and took a sharp turn. The she-wolf went after it with a proud smile, but didn't run more than five feft before suddenly collapsing with a shriek, her head disappearing under the flowers.

Rain was currently in the lead. He knew he needed to stay focused on the target. But this was far too much fun. He wanted to win, but also didn't want it to end. Rain laughed back at Feather. "I'm not that gullible!" he yelled back.
While he was talking, Echo had leaped to the front of the group. She was so close. Rain was sure she'd catch it. It took him a couple seconds to react as she had fallen. The brute immediately skidded to a stop as his instinct as a Shaman kicked in. He quickly approached Echo's side. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" he asked worriedly. He forgot about their challenge.

This was her big chance. Both of the leading wolves had be slowed, and now she could dash ahead! But something didn't feel right... As she got closer, she realised Rain had stopped out of concern. She couldn't take advantage of that, even if it was just a game. She came to a stop by the others, flattening a few flowers as she slid along the ground. "Let's just call it a tie." She knew they could always find another game, as the coyote had probably escaped them by now.

Echo got up awkwardly and shook the dust off her pelt. "I stepped in a burrow, I'm really sorry. I ruined the fun for you two didn't I?" she sighed sadly and gazed at her back left paw. It hurt a tiny bit from when she fell, but it was not broken or twisted for sure. The she-wolf looked around and noticed the coyote running for it's life in the distance, too late to catch it now.

When she realised Echo didn't seem to be badly hurt, she couldn't help but laugh about it. "See? I told you, Rain!" She then turned back to Echo. "No, no, it's fine! I haven't had so much fun in ages. Besides, we can always find something else to do." She had never known Echo or Rain too well in the past, but now she was really starting to enjoy hanging out with them.

Rain examined Echo for injuries but couldn't see anything obvious. He couldn't help but notice her looking at her back left paw but didn't want to come across as too pushy. He would mention it later. Her pride probably hurt more right now. "Hey, no worries. There's plenty of those pests to chase anyway." He told her, hoping it would help ease her mind. "It's a tie today, but I'll beat you both tomorrow." He smiled gently. His dark tail wagging.

The she-wolf smiled shyly and gave Feather a relieved look. "Is there anything else you'd like to do? That coyote won't come back for sure. I never had time to do much besides responsibilities..." Echo spoke and gazed into the distance. She tried to think of things she liked to do. The she-wolf coudn't think of anything that might be as engaging as chasing a coyote. Maybe running into a huge flock of birds and attempting to catch them? She doubted they could be around. The female sniffed the air just in case, but didn't sense anything.
